i'm glad i did..

for all this time i've been seeing a dead star..

long extinguished

yet placed, so high, so alive, on a pedestal

here in my own little world


i'm glad i reached for that star..

because;

though actuality robbed me of that dream..

though i wasn't bestowed of what i thought i deserved..

though it drained my heart of all the love it had wanted so much to devote..




it handed me the truth.
